Our Ministries

Ladies Fellowship
The Ladies Fellowship Group meets at various women’s homes on the second Tuesday of each month from February to November. They have crafts and ministry projects in which to get involved. They look after the Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day church gifts and flowers and give practical support to one of our Missionaries. The group collects donations which are given to various charities or our church, as the need arises. They have an annual Christmas Luncheon, which is enjoyed by all.

Mens Ministry
The men at Fraser Coast Baptist Church edify one another through men’s breakfasts, which are held once a quarter throughout the year. A special guest is asked to share their testimony and tell how the Lord is using them today. These are usually held at the top of Dayman Park hill at 7:30am on a Saturday morning. Dates are announced during Sunday services. The men also get together more regularly at a local cafe, which they spend the time to encourage one another. Details of these morning tea get-togethers can be found on the notices board at the church.

Youth Group
Currently, the church doesn’t have a youth group or kid’s club. We recommend sending your child to Hervey Bay Baptist Church on a Friday evening if they’re interested in getting together with other like-minded kids. More details can be found on the Hervey Bay Baptist Church website.

Thursday Morning Bible Study and Prayer – Known as “Goldies”
This fun group meets for fellowship at 9.30am each Thursday. All are welcome to attend. The group have a time of hymn singing, a time of sharing, a time of prayer and a Bible study, followed by a shared sandwich lunch. They collect donations through the year and use the money to support some of our Missionaries. The Vision for Thursday Morning Bible Group is to share the love of God with others; to build each other up in the spirit of unity and understanding as part of God’s family; and to share the message of salvation with the lost.

Wednesday Night Bible Study
We reserve Wednesday night’s for those who want to delve deeper into the Word as we usually explore Sunday’s message in more detail. It’s a group where anyone is welcome to attend and invited to ask any question that they have regarding the Bible and faith. We’re flexible in allowing the study to be devoted to answering a single question if need be so if you have a question that you would like answered, Pastor Tim promises your question will be answered biblically, with sincerity and from a grace-based perspective.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty.  If you would like to be on either the phone or email prayer chain please give your details to the Prayer Chain Convener by emailing Cecelia at johnceceliat@gmail.com.

Kitchen
We have Morning Tea after our service and all are welcome to stay and enjoy a cuppa or cool drink whilst having a chat and time of fellowship.
We have a fellowship lunch (bring a plate of food to share) on the third Sunday each month from March to November.

Small Groups
We have a variety of small groups in the church that meet regularly at people’s homes. Sign-up for these groups occur for two weeks at the beginning of each term so make sure to attend a service during the school holidays if you’d like to join one. They’re a great opportunity to express the “one-anothers” to the body of Christ on a regular basis and be edified while doing it.
