What We Are Doing in Response to COVID-19

To slow the spread of the Novel Coronavirus a.k.a COVID-19, Sunday worship started to be conducted online  via ZOOM on the 29th March. Zoom is one of the most popular online conferencing tools used by businesses to conduct their virtual meetings. This saves the need to meet in person which could be restricted by time and travel. We decided to use this tool for church as we wanted a platform where everyone can interact and not just watch a live stream.

Even though we are now able to physically meet each other on Sunday, our giving is preferred to be done online via a direct transfer or in person at a Westpac branch. The church bank details are as follows:

Fraser Coast Baptist Church
BSB: 034 134
Acc #: 390 812

Starting the 12th July, 2020, we will attempt to have our church service streamed online via Zoom. See the link below to join. Anyone is welcome to attend online! If the meeting is empty at 10:15am, it means that we are having technical difficulties and we apologise in advance for this inconvenience. However, if you see another participant, most likely they will be the online host in the church service and will be able to chat with you during the service at anytime.

During a typical Sunday service, we have a missions report, a Level Up Your Faith segment, singing, prayer for the offering as well as a time for corporate prayer; and of course a sermon that usually goes for around 30 minutes. Feel free to raise any issues, ask any questions or make any comments at any stage via the chat function to any of the online attendees.

Please note that when you join the meeting, your microphone will be muted to minimise disruptions in the service. You’re encouraged to use the chat function to interact with the host. Feel free to stay online after the service if you’d like to talk to the pastor or any of the other church members/attendees.

You will be asked to install some software called Zoom onto your device. It’s safe so follow the prompts to complete that process and afterwards you’ll be directed to the online conference. If you are not prompted to install Zoom, my advice is to open the above link in an alternate browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Looking forward to seeing you online!
